Biography of  Robert J. Sciglimpaglia, Jr. 

Robert teaches voice overs and produces voice over demos for Such a Voice in the New York City tri-state area (New York, Connecticut, New Jersey).  He is also an admitted Attorney in Connecticut and New York.

Born in Stamford, Connecticut and one of three brothers, Robert graduated from Stamford Catholic High School in 1984. After attending Eckerd College in St. Petersberg, Florida on a baseball scholarship, an injury forced him to transfer to the University of Connecticut, where he graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Political Science.

Robert then graduated from Pace University School of Law in 1991. He passed the Connecticut, New York and Pennsylvania bar exams on his first attempt and was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 1991.

He is currently a practicing attorney for Kerin and Canty in Norwalk, CT, as well as an actor and accomplished voice over artist. Robert hosted a local radio program back in the mid 1990's called "The Law Show", and more recently, hosted a radio show called "Ask the Lawyer."

Robert's first venture into the television field was a voice over for "American Experience: Hijacked!" which aired nationally on PBS-TV and was narrated by Campbell Scott.

Robert is not only a real life lawyer, but plays one on TV, including roles in 2 television pilots "The Hacking Chronicles" and "Slice of Life".

He has also appeared in numerous national projects with many big name stars, both in acting and voice overs such as: Hugh Grant, Drew Barrymore, Brad Garrett, Kristen Johnson, Patrick Dempsey, Susan Sarandon, Amy Adams, James Marsden, Denis Leary, Tatum O’Neal, Uma Thurman, Russell Crowe, Denzel Washington, Michael Imperioli, and numerous others.

Robert has appeared on National Television several times including an episode of "Rescue Me" as a funeral attendee, and in “30 Rock” as a MSNBC executive. He also appeared in a leading role as Czar Nicholas II on the History Channel’s “Engineering an Empire: Russia”, twice on the "Most Evil" show on Discovery Times channel, and on the "Maury Povich" show. He even appeared as a featured guest on a popular Japanese TV Series called "World's Astonishing News" as a Crime Scene Investigator.

Besides television, he has done numerous independent film projects in a leading or supporting role, including "A Fine Layer of Darkness" where he played the lead of "Samuel Halford, "The Maltese Murder Mystery" where he played "Tony Figlia", and "Saving Grace" where he played "Mr. Bulbs".

Robert has done national voice overs for, among others, the LA Dodgers, Mountain Dew, the CIA, best selling author Dean Koontz, American Micro Devices, Aquafina Water, Reebok, GlaxoSmithKline, Zales Jewelers, TGIFridays and the US Marines.
